What services do you offer?
Sila Senior Care provides non-medical services for thecommunity. This includes companion care such as sitting,running errands, light housekeeping and meal
preparation. We also provide personal care that includeshelp with bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming and otherActivities of Daily Living (ADLs).
How does the process work?
After your initial call to a Sila staff member, we plan for our RN to visit your home to discuss your care needs. The RN will also perform a home safety check and observe the medical and mobility equipment in use, as well as current medications. The RN will put together the Care Plan for your review and decide on the days, hours, and type ofcare to best support your needs.At Sila Senior Care, we don't just provide care, we cultivate connections. What are Activities of Daily Living (ADL) & Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL)?
ADLs are basic day-to-day tasks that are essential for functioning. These include bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, mobility and toileting. Seniors can be mosting independent, but still need help with a number of ADLs. IADLs are activities that enhance the client’s quality oflife, such as shopping, housekeeping and meal preparation. The ADLs and IADLs are outlined in the client’s Plan of Care after the initial nurse assessment.
How does Sīla select their caregiving staff?
All employees are interviewed, screened and skill tested prior to caring for our clients. Each must undergo a criminal background check, DMV and reference checks. As well, they attend an in-person orientation, tested ontheir healthcare safety knowledge and must demonstrate competency on medical and mobility equipment. We aimto hire quality staff that are caring and compassionate.
What happens if my caregiver is sick or cannot make their scheduled shift?
If your caregiver is unavailable, Sila Senior Care will make every effort to arrange for another caregiver. We will contact you in advance and keep you informed. If another
caregiver is not available, we will let you know ASAP and you are not charged for that missed shift.
Is Sīla Senior Care secured and bonded?
Sila Senior Care is fully insured under North Carolina state law. Our staff is covered by our liability insurance.
How much do your sevices cost?
All costs and scheduling details are discussed over the phone with a Sila Senior Care administrator prior toscheduling the initial visit with our RN. The cost of care
can vary pending the circumstances and the type and level of care required.

Do you take insurance?
We take private pay and long-term health care insurance. At this time we do not take Medicaid, but aim to have that service in place in the future. Please speak with your
long-term insurance representative and a Sila administrator for questions on insurance coverage for in-home care.
